The Trump Presidency does not have to mean four more years of chaos, we can change our country if we play our cards right.

No, I’m not talking about removing him via the 25th Amendment or another impeachment. While we would support both if warranted, that’s not the point. I’m talking about checks and balances, the way our founding fathers intended our republic to operate.

In 2026, we have a real opportunity to take back both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. I won’t lie, reclaiming the House is a more carved-out path than the Senate, but we are working on both.

This time, we’re doing things differently.

The candidates NDLB is supporting know that getting into office and being sworn in is not the end goal, it’s just the beginning. Our aim is wholesale change in how this country operates.

Medicare for All is not a bumper sticker or a slogan; it needs to be the law of the land.

Universal child care is not a pipe dream reserved for the few; it needs to be available to all hardworking Americans.

Our people deserve far more than the crumbs our government is currently handing out, and we are demanding an end to the status quo.

Here’s a truth that may ruffle some feathers. You can go to Congress and survive on doing very little, and no one will bat an eye. It could be the coolest job in the world: show up, attend parties, hang out, and call it a day.

Many do just that. Or, you can do what Representative Summer Lee of Pennsylvania does, for example. She never misses a vote. All of her offices work around the clock, serving her constituents.

She has consistently advocated for her district, and since taking office, it has received nearly a billion dollars in federal spending for infrastructure and other projects. That is the kind of leadership we want to see in the 120th Congress.

Trump’s powers can be checked if we have control.

We can hold more hearings, subpoena more of his criminal cabinet, and push legislation to curb the power of the Executive branch.

Right now, rural hospitals are closing in record numbers, ICE operates with immunity, corporate mergers go unchecked, and the list goes on. These issues impact all Americans, not just Democrats.

We have to remind the country that there is an alternative. We no longer have to live like this.

That is what we at No Dem Left Behind are working on, and that is what I am asking you to invest in. We cannot do this work without everyone playing their role.
