As the People’s Lawyer, it’s Keith Ellison’s job to step in when powerful corporations are taking advantage of consumers. On Wednesday, he reached a settlement that holds Menards accountable for how they advertised their 11% rebate program in the past — and ensures they’ll be more honest in the future.
As part of the settlement, which also holds Menards accountable for jacking up prices during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company will pay Minnesota $632,000.
