the world, and I’m proud of the progress our movement has made so

* In the US, utilities spend hundreds of millions every year
lobbying to block the switch to cheaper clean energy — but in
Maryland, they can no longer fund lobbying from customer
bills, thanks to a new law that 350 US and our Maryland local
groups campaigned for.
* To date, we have successfully pressured 40+ banks and 30+
insurance companies to refuse to support the East African
Crude Oil Pipeline — and this year we celebrated an
announcement from Chubb, one of the world's largest fossil
fuel insurers, that they will not provide coverage for the
controversial and destructive project.
* In Colombia, your donations helped us win a trailblazing new
law, where communities are now building their own solar energy
and keeping the profits local.
 
But we can’t let up. Not for a moment. We can’t risk losing any of
our gains to Big Polluters.
