Dear John,
The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) is honored to host the 2026 Breaking Cycles of Violence Conference on April 7–8, 2026.
Under the theme “Protecting Our Future, Healing Our Past,” this conference will bring together advocates, Tribal leaders, service providers, and community members to explore how our communities can transform systems, honor survivors, and build pathways to end violence through culturally resilient, community-led, and respectful approaches.
As we begin shaping the conference agenda, we invite community experts, practitioners, and knowledge holders to submit presentation proposals for one of the following programming tracks:
Conference Tracks
-
Tribal Law & Policy – Strengthening sovereignty, justice systems, and cross-jurisdictional collaboration
-
Advocacy – Advancing survivor-centered responses, community education, and systems change
-
Healing & Prevention – Centering wellness, traditional lifeways, creative expression, and prevention approaches
We welcome a wide range of presentation formats, including workshops, panels, storytelling sessions, and creative or experiential approaches. We especially encourage interactive, trauma-informed, culturally resilient, and community-centered sessions that reflect the lived experiences of our Indigenous relatives, near and far.
Presenter Support Includes:
- Complimentary conference registration
- Breakfast and lunch provided each day
- Accommodations and compensation may be available
