Hi,
This year has tested everything we’ve fought for since the first
Earth Day in 1970, when 20 million people took to the streets and
launched decades of progress for clean air, clean water, and climate
action worldwide.
In just months, protections for our drinking water, fresh air,
national parks, rivers and oceans and more have been rolled back.
Public lands opened to drilling. Science pushed aside. We’ve seen the
Clean Water Act weakened; the Endangered Species Act stripped of its
power, and climate action plans torn apart – all while wildfires,
floods, and heatwaves grow worse.
It’s heartbreaking. But it’s not the end of the story —
because people like you refuse to give up. You’ve already
stood up for the planet by signing petitions, raising your voice, and
calling for change.
At EARTHDAY.ORG, we’ve powered a global movement by:
- Planting 150 million trees to restore ecosystems and support
communities, especially women and underserved populations
- Advancing climate education and green jobs, with policies now
adopted by 160+ countries
- Reducing plastic pollution through science-based public reporting
and advocacy
- Driving sustainable fashion consumer choices and policy reform to
end fast fashion’s environmental destruction and human rights
abuses
- Inspiring global awareness through unmatched social media
engagement during Earth Day and beyond, reaching and empowering up to
a billion people worldwide each year
- Removing over 7.1 million pounds of trash, The Great Global
Cleanup is transforming neighborhoods and creating lasting solutions
to end community blight
Imagine what we can do with your support added to the effort.
Please
consider making a gift this year.
And this year, your gift goes even further: Every
donation made before December 31 will be matched dollar for dollar —
doubling your impact in the fight for our planet.
Every generation faces its moment of truth. This is ours. Let’s
make sure that when our children ask what we did when our planet was
under attack, we can say: We stood our ground. We fought back. We
won.
Thank you for never giving up on the world we love.
With deep gratitude,
Kathleen Rogers President
