Hi John,
Did you miss our last webinar, “Who is Students for Life of America?" No problem! You can still watch our overview of the history of Students for Life of America, their anti-autonomy values, and their current priorities on our website. Understanding the strategies and tactics of anti-abortion bullies is vital to combatting their dangerous agendas. This holiday season, abortion-accurate information on campus is at the top of our holiday wish list, but Students for Life wants to strip that for students everywhere. Together, we can stand up to their aggressive tactics and disinformation.

This holiday season, SAY ABORTION!
With family get-togethers and holiday dinners around the corner, it’s important to have the tools to know how to talk about abortion when it comes up. Recently, Reproaction took part in the #StopCensoringAbortion campaign with the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Women on Web, which investigated narratives of social media users being censored for talking about abortion. As anti-abortion advocates are hell-bent on chipping away our right to bodily autonomy, this holiday season is the time to take action for abortion care. And that starts with conversation! Abortion is safe, normal, and common – and we should be able to speak about it as such.

Self-Care
Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for December:
-
Host a cookie swap! I have been in a cookie-making frenzy this holiday season, and what’s more fun than sharing baked goods with your friends? Host a get-together with some fellow bakers (or cookie enjoyers!) to share some cookies and get inspired with new recipes. My favorite cookie I’ve tried as of late is an orange black sesame cookie! – Stephanie, DC Organizer
-
Micro-crafting! I love a craft but often get myself stuck in months-long projects that feel like chores. Recently, I've started tiny crafts that I can finish in a sitting. Think itty-bitty embroidery, a single paper crane, a 15-minute sketch. Boosts creativity and keeps you off your phone without the pressure of spending the next year on a project! – Ani, Archival Research Coordinator
-
Make your home festive! To stay grounded during the chaos that comes with the end of year and holiday season, I’ve been trying my hand at making holiday-themed crafts for the first time. I recommend making pomanders or orange slice garland, both of which are easy and will make your home smell amazing! – Victoria, Associate Director of Local Strategies
