Public media is hanging on by a thread after Trump's $1.1 BILLION in
funding cuts to NPR and PBS earlier this year. And the dam is breaking:
Arkansas’ statewide public television network just announced it will end
its affiliation with PBS thanks to funding cuts, saying it cannot afford
PBS membership fees.

Meanwhile, Trump’s busy rubber stamping mega-mergers for his oligarch
media buddies – tightening their grip on what we see, hear, and read.
That’s why Our Revolution is fighting back. Right now, the Senate is
working on its 2026 budget and can RESTORE funding for public media before
it’s too late. But it’s going to take a MASSIVE public outcry to force
them to do it.

As Trump looks to hand full control of the media to his oligarch friends,
he slashed funding for NPR and PBS – forcing layoffs, killing local shows,
and risking total shutdowns where stations can’t survive without federal
help. Arkansas is just the beginning. PBS has already announced a
devastating 15% staff cut and a budget cut of 21%.

get tornado warnings, school closures, or emergency weather updates. For
over 50 years, PBS has brought trusted learning into our homes. It’s given

safety alerts for millions – especially in rural and working-class
communities.
It’s not too late to reverse course, but Congress is racing to finish the
budget by January. Which gives us just weeks to flood Congress with our
demands. Our Revolution is ready to deliver our voices straight to
Congress in these crucial moments, but first we need to come together in
massive numbers to show that our public outrage cannot be ignored.
