Suspect in Brown University Shooting Found Dead

The news breaking on Thursday night. CBS News: The suspect in the Dec. 13 mass shooting on the campus of Brown University has been found dead in a storage unit in Salem, New Hampshire, sources told CBS News. Two students were killed and nine were wounded in the shooting. Multiple sources familiar with the investigation had told CBS News earlier Thursday that a person of interest has been identified in the shooting. Law enforcement is investigating possible connections between the Brown University shooting and the Dec. 15 shooting death of 47-year-old Nuno Loureiro, an MIT professor, at his home in Brookline, Massachusetts, multiple sources told CBS News (CBS).

GOP Congressmen Starting ‘Sharia Free America Caucus’

No better time than the present. Leading the way are two Texas Republicans—Keith Self and Chip Roy. It will be interesting to see who will “come out” to stand with them. Dmitri Bolt of Townhall: “Anytime you go to a fight, you bring as many friends with you as you can. I’m a military guy,” Rep. Self said. “So what we need to do is build this caucus now so that we can start educating the American people to the dangers of Sharia in the United States.” Sharia law, he added, is “fundamentally incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.” “America is facing a threat that directly attacks our Constitution and our Western values: the spread of Sharia law,” Rep. Roy said in a statement. “From Texas to every state in this constitutional republic, instances of Sharia adherents masquerading as ‘refugees’ — and in many cases, sleeper cells connected to terrorist organizations — are threatening the American way of life.” The new caucus already has some support from the Senate, from Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, who told Rep. Self he would be happy to help push some of their legislative goals (Townhall).

Terror Attack Thwarted as Syndey Police Disrupt Planned Attack at Memorial for Bondi Victims

The targeted threats continued. Israel Hayom: Counterterrorism police arrested seven people in southwest Sydney on Thursday in a dramatic operation that required “significant police reinforcement,” according to reports in local Australian media. Five suspects were traveling in two vehicles when a large police presence stopped them. The officers, armed with weapons and wearing camouflage uniforms, protective vests, and helmets, were seen searching the vehicles the suspects were traveling in and handcuffing them. At least one of the vehicles was rammed by a police vehicle until it stopped. The dramatic incident occurred at the corner of George and Campbell Streets in Liverpool, across the road from the bustling Westfield shopping center, near a school and medical center…. According to footage on social media, one of the suspects appeared injured in the head and bleeding…. Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner Kerri Bart stated after the operation ended that additional raids are expected following the Bondi terror attack and the tense atmosphere: “In the coming days, the New South Wales counterterrorism team will execute additional search warrants that will assist our investigation. There is a large amount of material to examine, and the AFP continues to work with local and international partners to uncover the full picture of the suspects’ movements and connections, both within Australia and abroad,” she said (Israel Hayom).

This ideology is a belief system that some teachers, some pediatricians and others are selling to children without their parents knowing sometimes or with a deliberate attempt to remove parents from the decision making. Puberty can be stressful and for all of history, being a kid and interacting with kids from the opposite gender can be awkward, even confusing at times. But to see now, a society putting kids on a path of chest binders, drugs, castration, mastectomies, and other procedures is a path that now many kids regret (Daily Caller). More from HHS Sec. Kennedy: “They betrayed their Hippocratic Oath to do no harm,” Kennedy said. “So-called ‘gender affirming care’ has inflicted lasting physical and psychological damage on vulnerable young people. This is not medicine. It is malpractice. We’re done with junk science, driven by ideological pursuits, not the well-being of children” (ABC).

House Passes Bill Protecting Youth From Gender Mutilation and Irreversible Hormonal Damage

The title of the bill is the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act;” the yeas were 216, the nays 211. The question is: Why are the 211 American members of Congress who are unwilling to protect our minors? Washington Blade: Doctors and providers who administer medical treatments for gender dysphoria to patients younger than 18, including hormones and puberty blockers, would be subject to Class 3 felony charges punishable by up to 10 years in prison if the legislation is enacted (Blade).Catherine Salgado of PJ Media: The Trump administration has already taken action to ban puberty blockers and surgeries for minors, but this bill could solidify the executive order’s requirements as official federal law, and prescribe the specific penalties. It remains to be seen if it can pass the Senate, but the passage of the bill in the House is certainly a step in the right direction toward protecting our children from transgender ideology for years to come (PJ Media). UK Health Secretary Pushes Medical Trial of Puberty Blockers on Children

Madness from the UK. John Sexton at Hot Air: UK Health Secretary Wes Streeting has approved a trial of puberty blocking drugs in which a group of children will be given the drugs to test the outcome. There has been opposition to this plan from across the spectrum: “Health officials approved the trial to give more than 200 gender-questioning children puberty blockers last month, but faced an immediate backlash. The trial will see 226 children who are being treated for gender dysphoria by NHS specialist clinics given the drugs and monitored by researchers from King’s College London. Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative Party leader, is among dozens of MPs to have condemned it as ‘unethical’”… (Hot Air). Labour MP Jonathan Hinder: ‘What they need is love, support and compassion, children cannot consent to this.’ Labour MP Jonathan Hinder believes Health Secretary Wes Streeting should follow his instincts and not allow the puberty blocker trial, saying there is ‘no democratic consent’ (GB News).

From a Schedule I drug to a Schedule III drug. Washington Times: Pot will be moved from a Schedule I drug like heroin, to a Schedule III drug like Tylenol with codeine under the Controlled Substance Act. It’s a win for cannabis advocates who were hoping to see such results under President Biden (Washington Times). Luke Niforatos, a guest of Tony Perkins: We have more than 50,000 research studies that have been done…. We know now about the growing trend of increased potency…. Now we’re seeing, and basically every one of the last dozen or so shootings and violent events we’ve seen over the last couple of years here in our country, the common denominator was marijuana use for those shooters and perpetrators. So we’re seeing a lot of very concerning data Now. It’s not ambiguous. Marijuana is unequivocally much more dangerous than it’s ever been. And I think that that’s why sending a message right now that marijuana is somehow less harmful by moving it to schedule three. It couldn’t be a worse message. It just couldn’t be at a worse time (Perkins).

Hegseth Vows to Make the Chaplaincy Corps Great Again

Chaplains of conviction are encouraged. Daily Signal reports: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has pledged to toss “New Age notions” in America’s Chaplain Corps and make the military body “great again.” “In recent decades, its role has been degraded in an atmosphere of political correctness and secular humanism,” Hegseth said of the Chaplain Corps in a video message released Tuesday night. “Chaplains have been minimized, viewed by many as therapists instead of ministers,” Hegseth said, adding, “Faith and virtue were traded for self-help and self-care.” … “For about 200 years, the chaplain corps continued its role as the spiritual leader of our service members, serving our men and women in times of hardship and ministering to their souls, but sadly, as part of the ongoing war on warriors, in recent decades, its role has been degraded,” Hegseth said (Daily Signal).

Bold worlds, necessary words, warmly received by the TPUSA crowd at their America Fest event in Phoenix. Daily Wire: So if Candace Owens decides to spend every day since the murder of Charlie Kirk, casting aspersions at TPUSA and the people who work here who worked with Charlie every single day, his best friend, to cast aspersions at Mikey McCoy and Andrew Colvin and Blake Neff and Tyler Boyer, and yes, at Erica Kirk. And to imply or outright claim complicity in a coverup over Charlie’s murder, to spew absolutely baseless trash, implicating everyone from French intelligence to Mossad, to members of TPUSA in Charlie’s murder, or a coverup in that murder, then we, as people with a microphone, have a moral obligation to call that out by name. Erica Kirk and TPUSA, never should have been put in the position to have to defend themselves against such specious and evil attacks, particularly in a time of mourning. And the people who refuse to condemn Candace’s truly vicious attacks, and some of them are speaking here, are guilty of cowardice. Yes, cowardice. The fact that they have said nothing, while Candace has been vomiting all sorts of hideous and conspiratorial nonsense into the public square for years is just as cowardly (Daily Wire).
