Work has started on the new Tommyfield Park
Tommyfield Park will be a fully self-sustaining space designed with nature and people in mind, and a major milestone in the regeneration of Oldham.
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance, Corporate Services and Sustainability, Cllr Abdul Jabbar, marked the start of works alongside Casey, the contractors delivering the town centre project.

Lifeline Oldham charity wins national giveback competition
A huge congratulations to Our Community Wardrobe Oldham who have been crowned national winners of The BIG Christmas Giveback.
The competition, sponsored by Town & City Gift Cards, shines a light on the positive work happening in local communities across the UK.
Set up by Sally Maher in memory of her best friend, the charity has been a lifeline for families across Oldham, making sure children have the clothes and baby items they need, especially at this time of year.

Thursday 25 December
🔵 Blue bins due on Thursday 25 December will be collected on Monday 29 December.
⚪Grey bins due on 25 December will be collected on Tuesday 30 December.
🟤Brown bins due on 25 December will be collected on Wednesday 31 December.
🟢Green bins and food caddies due on 25 December will be collected on Saturday 3 January.
Friday 26 December
🔵Blue bins due on 26 December will be collected on Saturday 20 December.
⚪Grey bins due on 26 December will be collected on Saturday 20 December.
🟤Brown bins due on 26 December will be collected on Saturday 20 December.
