What a blessing it is to come to the close of this year and to pause together in celebration of all that God has been doing among us. Truly, we can say with the psalmist: “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:3).
Through joy and sorrow, through challenges and triumphs, the Lord has graciously used the little we have brought to Him. It has been a year marked by the proclamation of the gospel, and what a joy it has been to be yoked together with you in this mission. Together we have witnessed countless testimonies of lives transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ. Families and communities have been uplifted, and hope has been restored across the cities of Africa.
From South Africa to Ghana, your generosity, faithful prayers, and sacrificial giving have enabled us to be the hands and feet of Jesus among the marginalised and the needy. Our teams have proclaimed the gospel in Harare and Chinhoyi, while the South African team crossed into Botswana for a historic mission culminating in a Presidential Prayer Breakfast. There, the President of Botswana and other leaders received the Word of God—a powerful reminder that the gospel reaches even the corridors of power.
In South Sudan, amidst the threat of civil war, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo among the internally displaced on the Rwandan border, our national teams have stood firm. Though the geopolitical landscape shifts constantly, the message of Christ remains unchanging: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
This year we also rejoiced in a great harvest in Accra, Ghana, where many heard the gospel and turned to Christ. Across Africa, our teams, working hand in hand with local churches, continue to proclaim the good news faithfully.
Here in Australia, God has also been at work. He has brought capable and committed people to strengthen our mission, expand our capacity, and ensure that the ministry of African Enterprise is shared more widely. Our office has grown, and we give thanks to the Lord for His provision.
