If you’re cleaning up after flooding or storm damage

Important information from Public Health - Seattle and King County

In flooded buildings, mold and other hazards can set in quickly. Fact sheets, printable flyers, and other resources to help you stay safe are available in many languages on the Public Health - Seattle & King County website [ [link removed] ]. Free weekend storm debris drop-off at three locations through January 11

The King County Solid Waste Division will accept flood debris, including yard waste and garbage, free of charge from individual customers* on *Saturdays and Sundays through January 11,* at three stations:


* *Bow Lake Recycling and Transfer Station*
18800 Orillia Road S, Tukwila
Saturday and Sunday hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
* *Shoreline Recycling and Transfer Station*
2300 N 165th Street, Shoreline
Saturday and Sunday hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
* *Enumclaw Recycling and Transfer Station*
1650 Battersby Avenue E, Enumclaw
Saturday and Sunday hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pet adoption center "The King County Pet Adoption Center in Kent"
Pet Adoption Center limits operations temporarily

Due to flooding and damage at the Kent Pet Adoption Center, operations are temporarily limited.

Please don’t bring stray animals to the shelter. Use kingcounty.gov/FoundAPet [ [link removed] ] to help reunite pets with owners. If possible, delay pet surrenders and consider foster adoption.

And with road closures in the Kent Valley, please postpone visits while animals are moved to foster or offsite care.
