We've all known Pete Hegseth was the wrong choice for Secretary of Defense from the moment he was nominated.

He is incompetent, reckless, and arrogant — a dangerous combination for a Defense Secretary responsible for the safety of this country and its armed forces.

And from Day One, he’s put our service members at risk by his actions.

Remember the Signal group chat, where he and other top officials discussed military strike plans on an unsecured messaging app — without even realizing there was a reporter in the group?

That was just one glaring example of his ineptitude.

Now, he is recklessly using the DoD to conduct illegal strikes in the Caribbean. The killing of shipwrecked survivors at sea is a textbook violation of the laws of war. Not only is it illegal, it is also morally repugnant.

His Signalgate misconduct put our pilots at risk, and now he is putting our sailors at risk of legal liability by ordering illegal strikes in the Caribbean, and dragging us closer to a war no American wants.

Hegseth cannot be trusted with the responsibility of such an important post, or the management of an agency of such massive size.

He's got to go. Join me in calling on Pete Hegseth to resign.
