A big step forward on the Water Pollution Notification Act!
[[link removed]]
Hi John,
I wanted to share a quick update from the Capitol today. The Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Veteran and Military Affairs held a hearing on the Water Pollution Notification Act – a key Right to Know bill we’re working to pass.

I was there testifying alongside several friends and partners, and I’m happy to report that seven people and organizations testified in support of the bill. We heard powerful support from:
* Our friends at the River Alliance of Wisconsin [[link removed]] and the Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin [[link removed]]
* Lee Donahue [[link removed]] and Tarion O’Carroll [[link removed]] , who made the trip to Madison to share their personal stories about water contamination – stories you may recognize from our clean water video series [[link removed]]
* Isak Drangstveit, a UW-Madison environmental studies student and former Conservation Lobby Day participant, who spoke about growing up in Crandon and how essential clean water is for rural families and Wisconsin’s timber economy
TAKE ACTION ON THE BILL [[link removed]]
From Campbell to Nelsonville to Crandon, people made it clear Wisconsinites want and deserve timely information when their water isn’t safe. This was a great step forward, but we can’t stop here.
Please take a moment to message your legislators and ask them to support the Water Pollution Notification Act. >>> [[link removed]]
We’re also working to get a public hearing scheduled in the Assembly, possibly as soon as January. If you’re interested in testifying at the Capitol, feel free to email me at

You built this success! As always, thank you for being part of this fight and for standing up for clean water and healthy families in Wisconsin.
