Dear friend and fellow Patriot,
I wanted you to be one of the first to know that I filed today for US Senate and why. This was not an easy decision. I prayed, fasted and deliberated. I spoke with many advisors whose insight I trust and value.
Ultimately, it was determined that there was no path to victory over Roy Cooper with the existing field - that we risk returning to politics by the few, the moneyed, the powerful and the careerists.
We are in danger of falling back into the political system of 2016 and risk extinguishing the enthusiasm of the 4 million Trump supporters of 2024. I felt that if I didn't do everything in my power to defeat the return of The Political Machine and use the relationships and the name recognition that we gained during the 2024 Superintendent race that the swamp would send us back years, and I would not be doing my duty for God and country.
That is why I filed today - to defeat Roy Cooper and return political power to We The People.
This race is too important to not respond. NC is in a very precarious position. We are the center of the Democrat bullseye, and have been for the past couple of years. The losses that we endured in 2024 only emboldened the Dems and they have a strategic plan to win this Senate seat and take back the majority in the NC legislature, which will return us to the destructive, Anti-American overreach that Roy Cooper pushed on us during his 8 years as governor.
This Senate race is not just about having a person in DC who will vote for President Trump's America First policies. This is about having a bold leader at the top of the ticket who will inspire people to fight for our great state. I am that leader.
As you probably know, I am bold, I am passionate and I will fight harder than anyone to make sure that the will of the people is at the forefront of every decision and that your voice is represented in Washington.
My greatest hope is that working through the difficult process of this primary, we will bring together the true Patriots of our party and our state to defeat Roy Cooper and the democrat machine.
We need someone who will lead the charge and create a message and a movement that can help everyone on the ballot in 2026.
We must transform this party from the Grand Ole Party to the Gathering of Patriots. Now is the time - there were nearly 4 million citizens in NC who voted for President Trump in 2024 they have not been effectively encouraged to join us in the new vision President Trump cast for the Republican party.
I pray that you will thoughtfully consider and understand my pure motives for joining this race and that together we will emerge on March 4th prepared to retain this Senate seat for the good of NC and this Nation.
I hope you will see, if you haven't already, how my entrance into this race has elevated this campaign. That is what we need to get out the vote!
I am used to being attacked and maligned by the left and the establishment, but I am discouraged that I have received misguided messages from our own side. I have the utmost respect for Don Brown and told him back in February that I was seriously considering running. I called him in advance of my filing and he has been very gracious. We all want the same thing.
After partnering with many of you for the last 10 years, I hope you know me, you know my heart, and you know that I have willingly put myself on the front lines to protect our families, our children and our future. And I will continue to do that and to do what I believe is right.
Once again, I pray that you will prayerfully consider joining me and doing everything that you can to help bridge the destructive divide in our party. We all have the same enemy and the same goals.

PS. I must say that I am very unsettled by the statements I have seen by people who are claiming that I am being paid to run for this office in an effort to give a victory to Whatley. This is just the type of damaging smear that will divide us further at a time when it is most important for us to come together. Nothing could be further from the truth, more ridiculous or more divisive.
