John,
My opponent, Cindy Hyde-Smith, directly voted for 200,000 Mississippians to lose health insurance — just so that she could fund tax breaks for billiionaires.
She doesn’t care about us. She just cares about where her next campaign check is going to come from.
I’m running for Senate to hold her accountable. Can I count on you to support my campaign by donating $7 or even $25? With our next FEC deadline coming up, every little bit helps.

I made the decision to run for Senate, because we need leaders who actually believe that Mississippi matters. Cindy Hyde-Smith is just using her office to stuff her own pockets.
Polling shows that my campaign has a real chance at beating her. But right now, she’s got a massive fundraising head start on us.
And with a major FEC deadline coming up, we’re working around the clock to close that gap.
After this deadline, my team is going to have to publicly release all of our fundraising numbers. Both the total amount raised, and from how many donors.
It’s critical that we show that we are on track to building a winning campaign. This report is our biggest test yet.
So today I’m asking, very respectfully:
Will you make your first contribution to my campaign for U.S. Senate in Mississippi?
Thank you for all you’re doing,
Scott Colom
Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate from Mississippi
