John Cornyn is attacking me (again).
This time, he’s mad I said billionaires should not be allowed to buy elections and rig the system.
I don’t think billionaires need politicians to defend them. And yes, I’ve been very clear about what I will do in the U.S. Senate: Take power away from billionaires and corporations and give it back to working people.
These attacks are no surprise coming from John Cornyn — a politician who has relied on corporate and billionaire-funded super PACs to keep him in power despite his unpopular policies.
There are few puppet politicians as corrupt as John Cornyn, who just this summer sold out working Texans — gutting SNAP and Medicaid to give his mega-donors yet another tax break.
This is sadly what Texans have come to expect from Senator Cornyn. These desperate smears are a reminder that our opponents and their mega-donors are willing to say whatever it takes to defeat our movement.
And they’re going to have a war chest of billionaire and corporate money to help them do it. This race will be absurdly expensive, and the only way we’re going to win is with lots and lots of people like you giving small amounts of money.
