I was proud to stand arm-in-arm with Granite City steelworkers to demand better from U.S. Steel -- we put on the pressure and reinstated 400+ jobs, keeping this important manufacturing work local. ![]() I was honored to deliver the 2025 Morton-Kenney Public Affairs Lecture, hosted by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University. I shared experience from my internship for Senator Simon to my work in Congress supporting working families and the importance of strengthening Illinois’ economy. ![]() I had a great time with students from the University of Illinois to discuss my work in Congress to lower costs and undo the cuts Trump made in the Big Ugly Bill that hurt them. Keeping young people involved in our politics is crucial. ![]() I am honored to share that I have received the endorsement of the Illinois AFL-CIO. As a union member myself, I understand the importance of making sure that hard work leads to a good life -- and I’m leading the charge in Congress. ![]() Coming back to the district is what powers my work in Washington.
