Donald Trump wants to shut down the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, just days after Colorado refused to release his friend and convicted felon Tina Peters from prison. Just this morning, the White House suggested this is political by attacking Governor Jared Polis again when they were asked about it.

Trump’s plan endangers life-saving research that helps us understand and prepare for extreme weather, and it came the same day that Colorado experienced dangerously high winds that led to wildfires in Yuma.

His actions are potentially life threatening, and our bet is that he’s doing this all because he wasn’t able to pardon a convicted felon who attempted to rig an election. 

Coloradans know that Donald Trump is not fit to be President–that’s why he’s never won here. And in 2026, we’re going to defeat those who support his shameful agenda and hold him accountable for this. Donate today to help us elect real leaders here in Colorado.
