Dear members and supporters,

We are pleased to confirm that we have now completed the next round of hustings for the May local elections next year. Following this process, the following candidates have been selected to stand in each ward:

  • Harrow Road (Target Ward), Westminster: Ilemi Arrindell

  • Dalgarno (Development Ward), Kensington & Chelsea: Mary Toover
  • Church Street (Development Ward), Westminster: Sandro Gonzalez

Congratulations to all candidates selected.

Next round of selections – 21st January

In January, we will be holding the next round of selections for both target and development wards (More info to follow). This will include:

  • Church Street (Westminster): 2 candidates
  • Little Venice (Westminster): 3 candidates
  • Maida Vale (Westminster): 3 candidates
  • Queen’s Park (Westminster): 3 candidates
  • Westbourne (Westminster): 2 candidates
  • Dalgarno (Kensington & Chelsea): 1 candidate
  • Shepherd’s Bush Green (Hammersmith & Fulham): 2 candidates
  • White City (Target Ward, Hammersmith & Fulham): 1 candidate
  • Wormholt (Hammersmith & Fulham): 2 candidates

Campaigning expectations

Development candidates are not expected to run a full target campaign. Instead, this will be a smaller, locally focused campaign, with the aim of delivering two pieces of literature to residents by May 2026.

Following this stage, we will select paper candidates for every ward across all three boroughs. While paper candidates are less likely to be elected and do not actively campaign, they play a vital role in maintaining a Green presence on the ballot and giving voters the option to support us. We strongly encourage members to consider putting themselves forward for this role. I look forward to seeing you at our next monthly meeting on Wednesday 14th January and I am happy to answer any questions.

Solidarity,
Charlie
