John,
I want to be real with you for a moment.
House Speaker Mike Johnson just said he won’t call a vote to extend healthcare subsidies, which means they’ll expire at the end of the month.
And I’ll tell you plainly: this is going to hurt a lot of people. Some of them I know personally.
Families will lose coverage. People will delay care. And others will be forced into emergency rooms, which is way more expensive and puts even more strain on our healthcare system.
I’ve lived this reality. As a working musician, I’ve gone without insurance and have had to cross into Mexico for care because it’s less expensive. No one should have to do that just to stay healthy.
This is what happens when politicians in Washington play games instead of doing their jobs. And it’s exactly why I’m running for Congress: to fight for healthcare that’s affordable, reliable, and there when people need it.
The midterms can’t come soon enough. We’re one of the most competitive districts in the country, and we have a real shot at flipping it, but we need to show momentum.
Our FEC deadline at the end of the month is the perfect opportunity to do so. So if you’ve been waiting for the right time to donate, now is it. Will you chip in to my campaign right now to help us meet our last FEC deadline of the year and show that we have the momentum to win this seat?
