John,
We just conducted the largest national poll on Medicare For All in years and the results are in:
The people want Medicare For All.
Our polling, which was reported in Politico this morning, shows that a solid majority of voters — including independents, an overwhelming 90% of Democrats, and even 1-in-5 Republicans — support universal health care.
Pramila is taking these findings and will present it to members of Congress, but we wanted to give you the inside scoop first.
We found that voters, particularly in battleground districts, believe the current corporate, for-profit health care system is failing. 42% of voters spend over $300 a month on routine health care costs and 65% believe the federal government does too little to help people afford their health care.
Pramila’s poll also proves that Medicare For All candidates WIN in some of the most competitive districts. A Medicare For All Democratic candidate beats out a Republican by 52% to 46% in some districts where Trump won just last year.
If Democrats want to meet this moment and win, we have to take a bold, unapologetic stance in favor of Medicare For All. We have to say clearly that we are ready to take back control of our health care system from insurance corporations and Big Pharma, and finally deliver universal coverage that works for everyone.
Pramila has been one of the leading champions of Medicare For All because she’s always believed that health care should be a human right, not a privilege for the wealthiest few. If you’re with her in taking on the insurance companies and Big Pharma so we can finally deliver on universal care, please pitch in to support our campaign today.
Thank you.
— Team Pramila
