Gun violence in America has stolen so many lives that people have learned to look away, John. The news scrolls by, the numbers rise, and the country keeps moving.
But behind every number is a person who mattered. A name. A family. A community that will never be the same.
The Living Record is March For Our Lives’ national archive of stories from people who have experienced gun violence firsthand: survivors, family members, friends, and loved ones who carry its impact every day. This project exists to confront silence, honor truth, and bring real human experience back into the national conversation.
Your story helps remind the country that this crisis is not distant or inevitable. It is deeply personal, preventable, and shaped by choices we can change.

These stories may guide how we speak, create, and organize. They may appear in future campaigns, exhibits, or public projects that bring truth and compassion back to the center of the debate. Every story is treated with care, and nothing will ever be shared publicly without your permission. If we would like to include your story, a member of our team will contact you directly.
Together, we are creating something lasting: a human record that refuses to let the country forget. Every story added here brings us one step closer to change.
Thank you for sharing,
Sam
