Dear Neighbor,
I’m writing to share an important update on Democratic efforts to protect affordable health care for families across our country.
A petition to force a vote in the House on extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits has officially reached the required 218 signatures. This is a critical step forward, but time is running out, and Speaker Johnson is trying to run out the clock by delaying a vote until January.
These cost-saving tax credits are set to expire on December 31, and without action, millions of families could see their health insurance premiums skyrocket. That’s why I want to hear directly from you:
I am demanding an immediate vote to extend these tax credits before the December 31 deadline. Congress should not leave for the holidays without taking action to protect affordable health care for the American people.
As always, if you or someone you know is in need of help from a federal agency, don’t hesitate to reach out to our office at (562) 860-5050.
Stay safe,
Linda T. Sánchez Member of Congress
