People facing Alzheimer's and COVID-19 need our help now and beyond.
Alzheimer's Association DONATE NOW
Will you help us reach our goal of 2,020 monthly supporters?
Dear John,
While communities nationwide have felt the pain of COVID-19, long-term care settings — home to many people living with Alzheimer's and other dementia — have been impacted significantly.

According to some estimates, more than 54,000 residents and workers have died from the coronavirus at nursing homes and other long-term care communities. We know that 48% of nursing home residents are living with dementia, and 42% of residents in residential care settings, including assisted living communities, are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

John, will you help us fight for all facing Alzheimer's by becoming a monthly donor today? When you provide monthly support, you'll help to further our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's — by accelerating research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

We've set a goal of 2,020 new monthly donors in 2020. Will you help us reach our goal by accepting this invitation to become a member of this important group today?

Become a monthly donor

John, I'm so grateful for the people who have become monthly donors to support our cause. These generous and committed supporters now enjoy the efficiency of having their donations processed automatically, the flexibility of changing the amount at any time, and the power of knowing their monthly gift helps bring us closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

The Alzheimer's Association is urging state and federal lawmakers to implement new policy solutions which will address the immediate and long-term issues impacting care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to driving advocacy, we continue to lead the effort to provide care and support and advance research by:
  • Moving the entire staff at our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) to their homes, continuing to provide constant support from a dementia care expert, any hour of the day or night.
  • Shifting support groups to video and phone calls to ensure that people living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers can continue to connect with and support one another while many remain in isolation.
  • Converting the Alzheimer's Association International Conference® 2020 to a virtual event with free access anywhere in the world, so we can keep research moving forward.
No one knows what new challenges the months ahead will bring. But one thing is certain: Now more than ever, the dependable support of friends like you who are dedicated to our care, support, research and advocacy efforts is a lifeline for everyone facing this disease.

I'm counting on you to help us reach our goal. Please join us as a monthly donor today.

Sincerely,

Donna McCullough
