Dear Friends,
We need your help. ([link removed])
Today, the President made a dangerous mistake: he has moved to reschedule marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. If this goes through, it gives America’s addiction profiteers massive new tax breaks worth billions that will help them target our kids.
You can watch my livestream video on this crucial issue below. ([link removed])

But YOU can help stop this. ([link removed])
The tide is turning. Massachusetts voters came out by the tens of the thousands to end legal weed sales in their state. Gallup polls show support for legal marijuana has retreated to historic lows. If this new rule goes through, it will still help addiction profiteers target our kids by sending the message that weed is safe or even that it has legitimate medical purposes—and no smoking device or cigarette can ever be deemed a medicine.
Here’s how:
* Give to fuel the fight. ([link removed])
Your donation keeps us in the fight so we can stop this industry from using its new windfall to target kids, expand commercialization, and undermine public health.
Donate now ([link removed])
* Contact your federal and state elected officials. ([link removed])
Tell your lawmakers to stand against this reckless decision and protect our communities from another addiction-for-profit industry. Your voice matters.
* Amplify SAM’s message online ([link removed]) .
Like our posts on FB ([link removed]) , Instagram ([link removed]) , X ([link removed]) , and everywhere else. Share them, tell your friends, comment, reply: anything to up our visibility. Tomorrow, I am scheduled to be on Fox and Friends at 6:20, Squakbox at 7:10, and CSPAN at 7:55. Make sure you’re following us on social media to catch all of our appearances.
We’ve faced down Big Weed before and won. With your help, we can beat them again.
Here is what we are doing to respond to this announcement:
* We have retained former United States Attorney General Bill Barr’s firm, Torridon Law, to sue the administration to stop this rule.
* We are announcing two campaigns to end marijuana sales and commercialization in Massachusetts and Maine. The Massachusetts campaign has already generated major media interest ([link removed]) and the measure it proposes will soon face legislative review. Americans have had enough of legal marijuana, and they deserve a chance to vote on this policy again.
* We are asking Congress to pass the No Deductions for Marijuana Businesses Act, a bill we worked with Senators Pete Ricketts and James Lankford and Representative Jodey Arrington to release if marijuana were to be rescheduled. It prevents the industry from receiving the tax break associated with being classified as Schedule III.
* We are regularly updating our new rescheduling page ([link removed]) with more information on what this means, fresh resources, and ways to push back.
* We are announcing a state resource page with recommendations ([link removed]) on next steps. This page is a resource to the country’s decision makers and advocates who are concerned about this ruling. It specifically provides support to the states with “trigger laws,” laws that require them to adjust their own regulation of marijuana depending on how it is federally scheduled.
Thank you for standing with us in this critical moment. ([link removed])
With resolve,
