Email from Massachusetts Republican Party Sincerely, Janet Fogarty & Brad Wyatt...     A Winter Update from Your National Committeeman & Committeewoman   Dear Republican Friends, The Christmas season is always a special time, and this year in Washington was no exception. Over the past few weeks, we had the chance to take part in Christmas gatherings across the city, attend trainings and meetings, reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and, of course, keep fighting for Massachusetts. The Political, Media, and Data Trainings held by the Republican National Committee were top-tier and focused on making an immediate impact. One particularly memorable evening was a Christmas reception at Vice President JD Vance's residence. How fortunate we are to be part of this moment in our country’s history! As with all the events, the best time was spent sharing stories and celebrating the good work you all do each and every day here at home. As the year winds down, these moments are a welcome pause and a good reminder of why we do this work, and how very important you are in the fight for the future of Massachusetts. THANK YOU! Cheers to 2026, Janet R. MassGOP Chair Amy Carnevale Updates from Washington DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO SHIFT THE BLAME FOR OBAMACARE PREMIUMS Democrats are the ones who voted to expand Obamacare subsidies when they controlled Congress in 2022 and to set the expiration date for those subsidies at the end of this year. This is a crisis of Democrats’ own making, which they are now trying to blame Republicans for. Democrats are once again blaming Republicans for problems they created. When Democrats were in control of Congress under Joe Biden, they created new Obamacare subsidies and set them to expire at the end of 2025 without a single Republican vote. These extended Obamacare subsidies were put into Biden’s Inflation "Reduction" Act and Democrats’ multi-trillion dollar stimulus that caused prices to skyrocket and wrecked the U.S. economy. This is a crisis of the Democrats own making. The text of the "Inflation Reduction Act" – which Democrats wrote and voted for – created this expiration date. Not a single Republican voted for this bill; it passed with only Democrat votes. These subsidies were originally created as part of Biden’s wasteful stimulus package – the so-called "American Rescue Plan" – which also was written and passed by Democrats with no Republican votes. Democrats are now blaming Republicans for this and actively refusing to work with Republicans. Last week, the DNC voted to pass a resolution saying Democrats should refuse to negotiate with Republicans on healthcare. Meanwhile, President Trump and Republicans have worked to deliver lower prices and make healthcare more affordable for all Americans. President Trump signed an executive order that will deliver lower drug prices for Medicare, expanding on President Trump's first term's successes that provided 22% in savings and lowering the cost of drugs by up to 60%. President Trump's order will provide massive discounts to low-income patients, pricing insulin prices for low-income patients and the uninsured to as low as $0.03. President Trump has taken action to end the practice of corporations profiting by keeping healthcare prices and business practices hidden from Americans. President Trump worked to increase the availability of generics brands, which can be as much as 80% cheaper. President Trump’s actions will create a fairer prescription drug market that lowers costs and ensures accountability. The Working Families Tax Cuts provided the single largest investment in rural hospitals in history – $50 billion. President Trump is delivering on his promise to once again put American patients first by building off of the historic efforts of his first term to lower prescription drug prices. Biden failed to provide the savings on prescription drugs that he promised. President Trump is delivering. GAS PRICES ARE DOWN UNDER PRESIDENT TRUMP Gas prices are falling to their lowest levels in years because of President Trump’s work to reverse Biden’s inflation crisis and unleash American Energy Dominance. This week, the national average is down 22 cents from a month ago and nearly 13 cents per gallon lower than a year ago — and trending lower. Average gas prices have dipped below $3 per gallon in 38 states, below $2.75 per gallon in 23 states, and below $2.50 per gallon in seven states. Americans can even find gas below $2 per gallon at some stations in at least five states; Kansas, Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, — with prices as low as $1.68 per gallon in Texas. Your state’s average price is available here. Under Biden, gas prices reached record highs and Americans paid the price, literally and figuratively. The highest national average price on record was June 2022, when it was $4.92 a gallon. Gas was more than $3 a gallon for all four years of Biden. Cumulatively, energy costs under 4 years of Biden were more than $5,200 per American household. High gas prices are one and the same with the Biden presidency. Americans are on track to spend the lowest amount of their disposable income on gas in the last two decades under the Trump administration. Joe Biden and Democrats' reckless spending and anti-energy policies drove inflation and prices through the roof and crushed working families. President Trump won’t stop providing relief for ALL Americans, and things are finally moving in the right direction. PRESIDENT TRUMP PROVIDES SUPPORT TO AMERICAN FARMERS President Trump is providing much needed relief to American farmers who are struggling after four years of Biden abandoning them. President Trump announced he is providing $12 billion in relief to American farmers to deal with temporary disruptions in agricultural markets. American farmers are still facing the consequences of four years of disastrous Biden administration policies. These payments will help farmers until historic investments from the Working Families Tax Cuts and the President’s trade deals go into effect. Of the $12 billion provided, up to $11 billion will be used for the Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) Program, which provides relief to U.S. crop farmers. FBA will provide relief to farmers from market disruptions, higher input costs, and foreign competitors engaging in unfair trade practices that prevent American farmers from exporting more of their products. The remaining $1 billion will be reserved for commodities not covered in the FBA Program. President Trump is ensuring our great farmers can see quick relief while our new trade deals take effect. President Trump is fighting to bring down costs for farmers, reverse the effects of Bidenflation, and stop foreign countries from cheating in trade. Maximizing farm production in the United States is a big part of how we will bring down grocery prices for American families. President Trump : “Farmers are an indispensable national asset, part of the backbone of America…I’ve always felt it so strongly. They are so important.” PS: Be sure to click the buttons here to follow MassGOP on all social media platforms for the latest news, events, and pictures/video!
