Marketplace Wisconsin continues to stand out as a powerful catalyst where meaningful connections lead to measurable impact. This year’s conference welcomed nearly 600 registrants from across the state, reflecting a strong and growing commitment to inclusive economic development throughout Wisconsin.

This year’s awards were especially meaningful. For the first time, both firms recognized not only participated in Marketplace Wisconsin but were also honored for their leadership in diverse spending. Kapur and Associates received recognition for Highest Diverse Spend in Architecture and Engineering, while Hernandez Roofing was recognized for Highest Diverse Spend in Construction. Being recognized at Marketplace Wisconsin for the first time marks a significant milestone and underscores how intentional engagement and sustained commitment to supplier diversity are producing tangible results.

Moments like these reinforce the purpose of Marketplace Wisconsin. It is not just about convening—it is about creating pathways, recognizing progress, and celebrating organizations that are stepping forward and setting a new standard for inclusive procurement across industries.

Join us on February 25-26th, 2026 for the 40th Annual DBE Workshop and Networking Summit at Chula Vista Resort – Wisconsin Dells.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) hosts the Annual DBE Workshop and Networking Summit to engage and connect small businesses with prime contractors, professional consultants and government contracting officers to discuss and create opportunities for upcoming projects.

* Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) [ [link removed] ] - Focused on women-owned businesses, WWBIC offers development opportunities for growth strategies, loans, and financial knowledge. 
* Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) [ [link removed] ] - WEDC provides many financial development opportunities to businesses as well as support for entrepreneurs and training programs.
* Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI) [ [link removed] ] - WPI assists Wisconsin businesses compete in the government markets. WPI works with existing and new business to strengthen the defense and government industrial base by accelerating innovation, fostering ingenuity, and establishing resilient and diverse supply chains. WPI provides Wisconsin business a broad range of technical assistance.

* Wisconsin Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) [ [link removed] ] - MBDA is a part of the US Department of Commerce
