Governor Josh Green and his administration have been working hard this year to deliver results for Hawaii families — including reducing homelessness, providing emergency food benefits, and protecting our public health.

We have an important end-of-year fundraising deadline coming up at the end of this month. If you are able, please stand with Josh and chip in a contribution of any amount today. [[link removed]]

Just over the last few months:

* Governor Green announced that, if the U.S. Congress fails to extend the Affordable Care Act enhanced tax credits and instead allows them to expire, he will include $16.5 million in his proposed 2026 state budget to cover the lost subsidies so that thousands of families in Hawaii won’t lose the health insurance they depend on.

* During the federal government shutdown in October and November, Josh issued $42 million in emergency food payments to Hawaii families to cover the gap in federal SNAP benefits, directed an additional $2 million in state funds to support Hawaii food banks, and launched the Hawaii Relief Program with $100 million in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funding to provide housing and utility assistance for families with children facing financial hardship.

* Josh joined with 14 other states to form the Governors Public Health Alliance, which will serve as a nonpartisan coordinating hub for governors to protect public health with science-based policies — facilitating data sharing, communications about health threat detections, emergency responses, public health guidance, and the deployment of experts.

* Josh opened Kīpūola kauhale on Maui, the state’s first kauhale village for the homeless on a neighbor island, marking the milestone of 24 of 30 planned kauhales opened so far and moving us closer to our goal of cutting homelessness in half statewide by the end of 2026.

If you support Josh’s efforts on these critical issues, please pitch in a contribution of any amount before our end-of-year fundraising deadline on December 31st. [[link removed]]

Thank you for supporting Josh and being an important part of Team Green.

Mahalo,

Team Green
