Dear Green American,

The EPA just proposed a dangerous rollback: weakening reporting requirements that track toxic PFAS "forever chemicals" in consumer products.

This is exactly what polluting corporations want—and exactly what our communities don't need.

PFAS are already in our water, our food, and our bodies. These persistent chemicals have been linked to cancer, low birth weight, and developmental disorders. We've fought hard to win protections that help us understand where these toxics are hiding, and we refuse to go backwards.

The manufacturers knew for decades that PFAS cause harm but kept adding them to countless products anyway. Now the EPA is proposing to let them hide crucial information about how much of these dangerous chemicals they're using or are in products they import for sale.

Communities across the country are already dealing with PFAS contamination. Weakening requirements for corporations to be honest about “forever chemicals” in their products makes it harder for scientists, regulators, and families to protect themselves.
