Hi Friend,

Courtrooms are where advocacy becomes lasting change for animals. Your monthly support will give our legal team the momentum, resources, and time to take on the powerful animal agriculture industry and win.

Because supporters like you stood with us, we secured a win for consumers (as well as animals) against Harvey's Market in Washington, DC. Following our lawsuit with Legal Impact for Chickens, Harvey's agreed in June to permanently end foie gras sales. The case exposed deceptive "humanely raised" claims for a product made by force-feeding ducks, a cruelty we've previously documented on camera.

Your commitment also helps us pursue criminal accountability. After our undercover investigation at Bravo Packing, we filed a private criminal complaint against the owner, who pleaded guilty in December 2022. Our additional food-safety complaints, following findings of Salmonella and Listeria, prompted FDA recalls and a federal lawsuit. That case led to a first-of-its-kind permanent injunction against an animal food manufacturer, requiring operations to pause until safety standards were met.

When egg producers misled consumers, we held them to account. In the Alderfer Farms "free-roaming" case, the court approved a settlement requiring $287,500 in payments and the removal of all "free-roaming" claims from packaging and marketing after we challenged labels suggesting outdoor access when our drone footage proved that many hens had none.

Left: After being hit with a captive bolt gun four times, the cow is rendered insensible and lifted up via a chain at Bravo Packing
Right: Even in the rare instance that Alderfer's hens had "outdoor access," they were crowded into small, wire-floored "porches" too tiny to accommodate more than a small percentage of the birds at once.
Monthly gifts make this work possible. They fund multi-year litigation, expert analysis, and rapid action when new evidence breaks. Monthly support helps us plan the next case and see it through. Will you start a monthly donation today? Your first month will be matched by a generous supporter if you start by December 31.

P.S. Not ready for a monthly commitment? You can still make a one-time gift ([link removed]) . When you give before December 31, your entire donation will be matched, dollar for dollar, doubling your impact. Your steady support powers investigations, legal advocacy, and outreach throughout the year.
