As coronavirus cases continue to surge -- with the U.S. setting a new record for over 75,000 cases in a single day last week -- the Trump administration is failing to step up and lead.

Not only are they failing to respond to this public health crisis, but they're actively going against health experts' warnings and ignoring science altogether.

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and the administration are threatening to cut federal funding for our children's schools if they don't fully re-open this fall. The White House press secretary even told reporters, "The science should not stand in the way." Wow.

As they disregard CDC guidance and doctors' warnings, the Administration is also silencing and attacking White House Coronavirus Task Force member and infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci. Trump's top trade advisor (with no health care expertise) even wrote a scathing op-ed trying to discredit him.

Cory believes we should listen to experts like Dr. Fauci and do everything in our power -- including wearing masks, ramping up testing and tracing, and making careful decisions about reopening schools and businesses -- to tackle this pandemic together.
