For many 2SLGBTQI youth, especially during the holidays, home isn’t a safe or supportive place. Some may face rejection, and others silence. That’s why spaces like Egale’s Inclusive Schools summits are so important – they offer students a chance to connect with 2SLGBTQI peers and affirming educators and reminds them that they matter.
After attending Egale Canada’s student and educator summit in New Brunswick, one student shared, “I feel empowered to continue making positive change because of the strength/confidence passed on through all of the individuals who shared their
stories."
This year, students across Canada used Egale’s resources to lead conversations, start Gender and Sexuality Alliances, and speak up when school didn’t feel safe. Educators used our Rainbow Action Hub to respond better and support their students. Families found tools to navigate hard conversations.
This year, we’re celebrating the thousands of students and educators across Canada who took action using Egale’s tools and resources.
Thanks to your support, in 2025, that included over 4,000 students and educators in over 260 schools.
Help us continue to give 2SLGBTQI students The Gift of Belonging in their schools and communities. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $40,000 thanks to the generous support of many donors. | | | | And remember,
becoming a monthly donor helps us continue this work all year, not just during the holidays. That means more workshops, more training, and more young people equipped to make change in their schools. Join Egale’s Monthly Donor Circle today.
In community,
Your friends at Egale Canada P.S. Whether you're giving in honour of someone you love or giving because you know what it means to feel alone at the holidays, know this: you're helping someone else feel supported and safe. Thank you.
