We began this year with so much uncertainty, and it's safe to say no one could have predicted the chaotic twists and turns we've endured.
But there were two things we knew with absolute certainty on January 1 that have held true every day since:
One: We knew that attacks on reproductive freedom would escalate at every level.
Two: We knew that Planned Parenthood supporters like you would dig in, join together, and hold fast in defense of health care and the right of every single person to control their own body.

THANK YOU for sticking with us through the most difficult moments. Now, at the end of the year, take a moment to look back and see how much your support has mattered.

The People's Brief
When the Trump administration and its backers in Congress directly targeted Planned Parenthood with an unconstitutional law "defunding" Planned Parenthood health centers, we immediately took them to court to challenge this attack on care.
We didn't go into that courtroom alone — Planned Parenthood supporters like you had our back just like always.

After a judge initially stopped this law from going into effect, a federal appeals court sided with the Trump administration and overturned that decision.
Because of this law, patients can't use their Medicaid insurance for lifesaving care at Planned Parenthood health centers.
Before the law was passed, more than 1.1 million patients a year used Medicaid to cover health services, including birth control, cancer screenings, wellness exams, STI testing and treatment, and more at Planned Parenthood health centers every year.
In September, the first month the "defund" law became enforceable, Planned Parenthood health centers covered an estimated $45 million in care to make sure patients could continue to get the services they need from their trusted providers at no cost.
We're still fighting to stop this cruel law and protect patient access to care, and local Planned Parenthood organizations are doing everything possible to prevent patient harm from this political attack.
It's good to know you are with us.

What emoji represents how you feel about the fight for reproductive rights going into 2026?

Here are some of the reproductive rights wins from 2025:
-
Abortion access was restored in Missouri and Arizona.
-
Policymakers in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Washington committed to critical funding to help Planned Parenthood health centers keep providing care for patients as attacks on funding at the federal level continue.
-
Wisconsin voters elected a new justice to the state Supreme Court, tipping the balance of the court towards reproductive freedom.
-
New Mexico became the first state to offer free universal childcare to all families.
-
An updated shield law in Massachusetts strengthened access to abortion care and protections for patient and provider privacy.
-
South Carolinians rallied to stop Senate Bill 323, a proposed total abortion ban that would have threatened people accessing abortion with decades of prison time and criminalized anyone helping someone access abortion, in addition to a range of other criminal and civil restrictions on access.
|
|
The road ahead is long and difficult. We can expect more attempts to limit access to abortion, gender-affirming care, birth control, and other essential care.
The only way Planned Parenthood will be able to take on these threats is with your strong support. It's good to know you're with us.
