Peace Now Calls Out Plans for New Settlement in Palestinian Neighborhood Our partners at Peace Now report that the Israeli government is expected to move forward with the construction of a new settlement at the site of the abandoned Jerusalem airport. The settlement would be within an urban Palestinian area of northern Jerusalem, and threatens to bring in tens of thousands of settlers to the site. This move would endanger the future of a Palestinian state by breaking up territorial continuity and blocking Palestinian development in a central location. |
