Dear Friend,
To this day, countless classrooms across Malawi lack desks which creates daily obstacles for children and forces students to learn while sitting on the floor. Without desks, students balance notebooks on their knees and struggle to stay focused during long school days. Something as simple as a desk can transform a child’s learning experience.
That’s why I created The K.I.N.D. (Kids in Need of Desks) Fund in partnership with UNICEF USA. The initiative — now in its 15th year — addresses these barriers and equips primary school classrooms with desks to support quality education. With thanks to your generosity, more than 405,000 desks have been delivered to schools, reaching over 1.6 million learners across Malawi.
