Colorado Democrats oppose Trump administration funding cuts to schools that serve minority students
Diana and colleagues wrote a letter to U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon:
“We have heard strong concerns from Colorado colleges and universities that have received termination notices from the Department,” the letter says. “The loss of millions of dollars will mean fewer opportunities for students and will only cause hardship for communities these institutions serve.”

Democrats revive package of bills to clamp down on fracking
A group of Democrats are reviving a package of bills that would tighten drilling regulations for oil and gas extraction, in a rebooted effort in the House to alter the energy industry’s ways.
“What we do here is about ensuring the health of people and the communities we serve,” DeGette said.
