Dear John,

As we head into the holidays, I wanted to be sure to catch you, John, before then to loop you into all that’s ahead of us — because we need your support. After we turn the page on this year, we jump right into the 2026 legislative session. We don’t have much time to build resources to ensure we have what it takes to pass landmark wildlife and habitat conservation funding, a bill to hold polluters responsible for harming our climate, and to protect investments in Oregon’s climate, natural resources, clean energy, conservation, and wildlife agencies (see our 2026 priorities). That’s why I’m asking for your generous support now.

Will you make a $50 gift to OLCV now to secure wins for a Healthy Oregon in 2026?

Give now

We have a very short turnaround time to secure wins for our 2026 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon, and it starts next month with January Leg Days. There isn’t much time for us to gather the resources we’ll need, which is why I’m requesting your support now.

But you might be asking — why should I give to OLCV? In response, I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. During this past session, we not only hit our goals for climate advocacy, but exceeded them.

  • Over 14,000 of our members emailed their legislator, surpassing our goal of 10,000;
  • We recruited 70 volunteer leaders;
  • And our volunteers completed over 500 shifts, speaking to lawmakers about our priorities.

Yes, our legislators failed to meet our calls for climate action, but the one thing that didn’t fail is OLCV and our members. We’re ready to return this year with more power for our climate than ever, because our state work grows increasingly important with each federal cut made to our climate. But, we can’t do it without you.

Give now

A gift of $50 to OLCV today will lead us into lasting and monumental change for our climate in 2026. Challenges are surely ahead of us, but so is great opportunity. One thing’s for certain: climate action is possible, but only when generous donors like you, John, step forward. Make your generous contribution today to build a sustainable and livable future for all!

In solidarity,

Eliza Walton (she/they)

OLCV Coalition Director
