A new law passed in Texas now allows residents to SUE people whom they suspect of “making, distributing, or mailing abortion pills in or out of the state.” According to The Guardian, abortion providers in Texas could face penalties of at least $100,000 if they mail pills into the state.

This is just the latest attack in this state, where anti-abortion activists are hoping to completely eliminate access to abortion in all forms.

That is what happens when extremists are in charge of making laws about reproductive rights. Thankfully, Virginia elected a trifecta of pro-choice champions this November – but that could all change in a single election, which is why we need to enshrine reproductive rights in the state constitution once and for all.
