Friend, this situation is critical to the future of American wildlife:  

Trump’s administration and some allies in Congress are threatening to roll back Endangered Species Act protections for vulnerable species like gray wolves and grizzly bears. In fact, the administration has already taken steps to weaken Endangered Species Act protections for all threatened species so we can’t let up in our fight to protect this bedrock law and the animals it has saved.

We know if ESA protections are stripped away, trophy hunters will move in quickly to take advantage—killing our vulnerable wildlife and pushing them more rapidly toward extinction. 

The fight to protect our wildlife from attacks has never been more dire. Do you remember the last time protections for gray wolves were removed? I do.

In November of 2020, wolves lost their ESA protections, and the state of Wisconsin wasted no time in scheduling a wolf hunt—the first in the state in seven years. A whopping 2,380 wolf hunting permits were made available for a quota of 119 wolves in what was supposed to be a week-long season. Less than three days later, more than 200 wolves had been killed, entire wolf families were decimated, and the hunting season had to be shut down early, having gone nearly 100 wolves over the quota.

Imagine what will happen if all gray wolves are delisted once again?  Even more irreplaceable wolf families will be wiped out—and the species could be pushed closer to total extinction.

Now more than ever, gray wolves, grizzly bears and other vulnerable wildlife are counting on us to act before it’s too late. So please, will you make a gift to Humane World Action Fund to power our fight to protect wildlife and all animals from harm?
