Friend,

On Thursday we had a powerful day of advocacy and learning with more than 150 advocates from across New York in attendance. If you weren't able to make it, you can watch the livestream of the press conference here. We delivered thousands of postcards signed by all of you to Governor Hochul's office asking that she sign the repeal of the 100' rule.

After the press conference at the NYS Capitol, we walked over to the Albany Public library for lunch and teach-ins laying the groundwork for 2026 advocacy.

Missed the teach-ins? No worries! Join Renewable Heat Now on Thursday at 7-8PM for our December Power Hour, our monthly grassroots meeting where we'll recap the day and talk more about our plans for 2026.

Register for the Power Hour here and the Zoom link will be sent to your email.

Reminder: Governor Hochul has until Friday to sign or veto the repeal of the 100' Rule. Keep calling her office every day!

Call Governor Hochul at 518-474-8390  (dial 1 right away to leave a voicemail.)

Sample script: "Hello, I’m _____ and my zip code is _____. The legislature passed A.8888/S.8417, a bill that repeals the 100-foot rule. I'm calling to ask Governor Hochul (HOH-kull) to sign this bill into law before the end of the year. New Yorkers shouldn't be charged for new gas pipes we don’t need! Thanks!"
