Dear Friend,
I am BOILING MAD right now — and every American who believes in law
and order should be too.
A good, brave police officer, Officer Chance Bretches, is facing 99
YEARS in prison for the “crime” of preventing Austin from being
burned to the ground by violent rioters.
His trial was supposed to be December 8, but it has just been pushed
all the way back to June 2026.
That’s not justice. That’s PUNISHMENT.
Punishment for being a cop. Punishment for doing his job. Punishment
for refusing to let a mob destroy his city.
And I refuse to stand by while this evil happens.

Let me tell you exactly what happened—because the media will never
tell the truth.
In May 2020, Austin exploded into chaos.
At first, a crowd gathered outside the Austin Police Department’s
Eighth Street Headquarters. It was calm…for a moment.
But as night fell, the mob turned violent.
They hurled:
* Rocks
* Frozen water bottles
* Fireworks
* And anything else they could weaponize
Police officers were getting injured. The crowd was out for blood.
And yet the Austin Police remained restrained. They carefully
identified the violent agitators.
They used nonlethal beanbag rounds — the EXACT tools they were
trained to use — to stop the worst offenders and restore order.
But the next two days? The city descended into full-blown riots.
Buildings were vandalized, looted, and destroyed.
Police and civilian vehicles were set on fire.
A rioter was caught with a Molotov cocktail, ready to throw it. Dozens
of violent criminals were arrested.
Austin was moments away from becoming another Seattle, another
Portland — another city sacrificed to radicals.
Then came Sunday, May 31st. The third night. The most dangerous night
of all.
A massive mob gathered again — larger, angrier, and more violent.
They targeted police headquarters.
They blocked a major highway.
They pushed the city to the brink of collapse.
If the police had lost control that night, Austin would STILL be
burning.
But officers like Chance Bretches refused to surrender their city to
the mob.
Chance followed his training.
He used nonlethal beanbag projectiles to stop the aggression.
He and his fellow officers held the line.
And the mob eventually melted away.
Bottom line: Officer Bretches helped keep Austin from burning to the
ground.

He did EVERYTHING right.
He protected lives.
He protected property.
He prevented anarchy.
His supervisors have praised him for taking guns, drugs, and dangerous
criminals off the streets…and for saving his fellow officers’
lives.
This man is a HERO.
But then… the radicals took power.
A socialist, anti-cop District Attorney — a man who prosecutes
police instead of criminals — came into office.
And now Officer Bretches is paying the price.
He has been indicted on outrageous charges for using approved,
nonlethal force against a violent mob.
His trial has been pushed into 2026 — because the prosecutor knows
he doesn’t have a case, but he DOES have political ambitions.
This is what they do when they can’t convict a cop:
They drag the case out to financially ruin him.
They torture the officer’s family with years of fear and
uncertainty.
They weaponize the justice system to destroy law enforcement.
Chance is staring down:
* A mountain of legal bills
* Years of emotional torment
* And up to 99 years in prison
For WHAT? For STOPPING a riot. For PROTECTING the innocent.
For keeping Austin from burning.
My friend, this is a moral outrage.
And it’s why I’m asking — begging — you to help this good
officer fight back.

Police officers don’t make the kind of money it takes to fight a
years-long political prosecution.
Without us — without YOU — Chance Bretches will be swallowed alive
by this corrupt system.
PLEASE MAKE AN URGENT CONTRIBUTION OF $10, $15, $25, $50, $100, OR
MORE. [1]
He’s a good officer. He’s a good man. He’s being targeted for
destruction by a bad prosecutor.
We MUST stand with him.
Sincerely,
Sheriff Joe Arpaio (ret.)
