Hello,

I want to reintroduce you to Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx. As a Black woman and a politician, Kim has always understood that she has a responsibility to forge a path forward for the next generation of Black leaders in office, especially Black women.

But here's the thing, friend, Kim shouldn't have to do this work alone.

Kim leads the second-largest prosecutor's office in the country. In the middle of the current racial justice movement, she's proving she's a leader who will help us move forward and root out systemic racism.

Kim has pledged to fight for racial justice, analyze systems that often hinder and harm Black communities, and create racial equity. The Collective is joining Kim in taking the pledge, and I hope you'll join us today. Please add your name.

Take the pledge

Taking this pledge is not performative — it's a promise. It's time all of us took a deeper look into the systems under which we operate and see how we can do better collectively or as individuals.

Kim is challenging the status quo, and she's starting with her own campaign and office. She's putting in place equitable hiring practices to build a diverse and representative staff, and she's requiring racial bias training for all staff and volunteers. But that's only the first step.

We plan to stand with Kim and support her campaign as she investigates explicit racial biases in campaigns, offers direct solutions to systemic racism in journalism, and puts systemic racism at the forefront of the conversation in a call for transparency. If you're with Kim and The Collective in the fight for racial justice, add your name today!

Collectively, we will win,

Stefanie
