Civil disobedience & picket DBE companies at LAS Airport
On Wednesday December 3, 2025, Culinary Union participated in an act of civil disobedience (mass arrests) as negotiations for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) at the Harry Reid International (LAS) Airport continue.
While we hope for a fair settlement that protects over 400 hospitality workers, we have escalated the labor dispute with a labor actions, which could significantly impact operations at LAS Airport ahead of the busy holiday season in Las Vegas.
Strike at DBE employer Village Pub at LAS Airport
On Friday, December 5th, 2025 at 5:00am through Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at 5:00am Culinary Union led a strike at DBE employer, Village Pub, at the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) for 24-hours.
Workers at the DBE concessionaires at LAS Airport are fighting for a new contract that secures fair wage increases and a better future for their families.
Culinary Union has their back every step of the way is confident that we will win.
Health Services Coalition picket and rally at Valley Hospital
On December 9, 2025, the Health Services Coalition (HSC) picketed and rallied at Valley Hospital.
UPDATE: On December 10, 2025, HSC came to an agreement with the Valley Health Systems on a new fair contract! Valley Hospitals will continue to remain in the Culinary Health Fund network. YES WE DID!

Desobediencia civil y protesta de DBE Companies en el Aeropuerto LAS
El mi茅rcoles 3 de diciembre de 2025, la Uni贸n Culinaria particip贸 en un acto de desobediencia civil (arrestos masivos) mientras contin煤an las negociaciones para las empresas comerciales desfavorecidas (DBEs, por sus siglas en ingl茅s) en el Aeropuerto Internacional Harry Reid (LAS).
Si bien esperamos un acuerdo justo que proteja a m谩s de 400 trabajadores de la industria hotelera, hemos intensificado la disputa laboral con acciones laborales, lo que podr铆a afectar significativamente las operaciones en el Aeropuerto LAS antes de la temporada ocupada de d铆as feriados en Las Vegas.

Del viernes 5 de diciembre de 2025 a las 5:00am hasta el s谩bado 6 de diciembre de 2025 a las 5:00am, la Uni贸n Culinaria encabez贸 una huelga de 24 horas en Village Pub, empleador de DBE, en el Aeropuerto Internacional Harry Reid (LAS).
Los trabajadores de las concesionarias DBE del Aeropuerto LAS est谩n luchando por un nuevo contrato que garantice aumentos salariales justos y un mejor futuro para sus familias.
