If there’s a state that’s been top of mind for Democrats this election cycle, it’s Texas.

From NPR reporters to Quinnipiac polling experts, everyone is calling Texas a battleground state and a “toss-up.” It’s not a matter of if Democrats can win—it’s a matter of when. And if we win Texas, you can bet we’ll flip the Senate too.

Just last week, MJ won the Democratic primary runoff, setting up a fight this November between her and Senator John Cornyn, who has been Mitch McConnell’s right hand in obstructing progress on health care, tax reform, immigration, and more.

Cornyn spent the last 18 years in Washington cozying up to special interests instead of serving Texans. Now polls are showing shockingly low approval ratings: as low as 29% in one poll, and ten points below Ted Cruz in another!

MJ Hegar has a real chance of winning this election, but she needs all the support we can gather to beat the GOP’s dark-money machine and flip the Senate. Will you chip in today to make it happen?

Let me tell you a bit more about MJ. She’s a combat veteran with a record of service to our country, and she’s faced the struggles so many Americans do—from wondering how she’ll keep her family’s health care to overcoming gun violence. She’s a proven leader, and I know she’ll be a tireless advocate for American families, small businesses, and the middle class.

Her opponent couldn't be more different: John Cornyn has spent years as the #2 ranking Republican in the Senate and is one of Mitch McConnell’s top allies. Politico even called John “Repeal’s Top Salesman” for his efforts to gut the Affordable Care Act.

Lately, he’s been working overtime to undermine the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. While he’s been making jokes on Twitter and spreading misinformation,Texas has become a hotspot of skyrocketing cases, leaving thousands of his constituents in harm’s way.

It’s time for Texans to have new representation. And it’s time to flip the Senate.
