John, The fight to end racial gerrymandering is nowhere near finished. Since the end of the Reconstruction era, politicians have used gerrymandering in Texas to dilute the Black vote. And the Texas GOP wants to keep it that way. So what’s the solution? We have to flip the Texas House in November. If Texas Republicans keep control of the House in November, that means Black and Brown communities are in danger of having their neighborhoods racially gerrymandered for the next DECADE. That means politicians will pick their voters, not the other way around. That means marginalized communities will be left behind without resources, funding, and opportunity.
