Jack Smith defends Trump prosecution in closed congressional testimony
During a closed-door hearing Wednesday, former special counsel Jack Smith forcefully pushed back on Republican lawmakers’ attempts to discredit his prosecution of President Donald Trump over his 2020 election subversion efforts.

Facts don’t lie: 180 bills to restrict mail voting have been introduced in states just this year. Most of these make it easier for election administrators to reject mail ballots, while others make it harder for voters to request a mail ballot or a mail ballot application.
