John,

Are you curious about the most effective way to help freedom prosper?

For nearly half a century, Atlas Network has provided training and support for people and teams running pro-freedom organizations to change the world.

I’ve seen how our training and support can sustain and inspire pro-freedom leaders working in authoritarian countries, even under life-or-death circumstances.

My friend Khalid Ramizy’s story is a great example of how Atlas Network can inspire our partners to achieve extraordinary outcomes even in the face of overwhelming odds.

Before I tell you about Khalid Ramizy’s brave story, I have to ask you to give to Atlas Network’s year-end giving campaign. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by midnight on December 31st to advance the worldwide freedom movement in 2026.

Please make your first donation before the end of the year to support the important work Atlas Network and our partners are doing around the world. (It’s fully tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.)

I met Khalid in Afghanistan when he was a teenager and a volunteer for freedom. He would eventually lead the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), an Atlas Network partner.

Khalid honed his leadership skills at Atlas Network Academy’s intensive six-day Executive Accelerator workshop, which is designed to equip new and established think tanks with a practical grasp of strategic planning, team-management best practices, and leadership skills.

Thanks to Khalid’s training, AELSO’s activities racked up successes for freedom in Afghanistan.

Unfortunately, they still faced danger from anti-liberty extremists in the Taliban, “Islamic State,” and other extremist terror groups.

When the Taliban seized power in August 2021, Khalid was on their hit list, and the danger became much more immediate.

With support from Atlas Network and other allies, Khalid orchestrated a daring escape for himself and his family.

But that’s not the end of Khalid’s story. His fight for freedom in Afghanistan continues.

Even in the face of overwhelming odds, Atlas Network and our partners are committed to creating a freer, more prosperous, and more peaceful world.

Like Khalid, you can make a lasting impact on the worldwide freedom movement by making your first donation before the end of the year.

P.S. If you’re wondering what happened to Khalid, he now lives in Canada, where he continues to fight against extremism worldwide as the leader of a new Atlas Network partner organization.

Khalid has expanded his mission worldwide by founding the World Anti-Extremism Network (WAEN). WAEN is a group of resilient leaders and freedom activists who are united by a mission to resist and defeat violent extremism and tyranny across the world.

International cooperation is a core part of WAEN’s strategy to counter anti-freedom ideas.

Atlas Network is investing in their mission with targeted project funding and professional development training for their worldwide network.

It has been my privilege to see Khalid grow from a teenage volunteer to a leader who protects his family and protects us all from the threat of violent extremism.

By helping Atlas Network reach our end-of-the-year goal, you are empowering freedom champions, such as Khalid Ramizy, to drive this transformation.

You can support more freedom champions in 2026 by making your first donation before the end of the year.
