I have to be blunt: Betsy DeVos must resign.
As our country continues to face COVID-19, nothing has been more important than ensuring the health and safety of every American.
Yet, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos dangerously wants kids to “go back to school this fall.” With Coronavirus cases rising and no clear end to this pandemic, one thing is absolutely clear:
Betsy DeVos does not care about the health and safety of our children, teachers, or parents. She is choosing to ignore science and is even threatening to pull federal funding from schools that refuse to open.
Time and again, Betsy DeVos has failed our children. It’s time she stepped down. So John, sign my petition now demanding Betsy DeVos resign immediately.
DeVos has a long history of throwing our nation’s children to the wolves. From proposing to cut funding from the Special Olympics to rolling back sexual assault protections on college campuses to enabling discrimination against students of color and LGBTQ folks, DeVos is unfit for office.
DeVos’ handling of our Educational Department has been reckless, uninclusive, and shows a lack of genuine concern for the lives and betterment of our students.
For too long, DeVos has put right-wing special interests and her billionaire friends ahead of everyday families. Enough is enough.
So John, will you join me? Let’s put an end to Betsy DeVos’ career in mismanaging our educational system. Add your name to my petition calling for Betsy DeVos’ immediate resignation today.
