The right to vote is fundamental to who we are as Americans—and making sure that right is protected has never been more important.
With COVID-19 still raging throughout the country and many Republicans trying to undermine vote by mail programs, we’re going to have to fight hard to make sure that all Americans are able to exercise their right to vote this November.
We’re proud that in Massachusetts we recently passed a law to allow all registered voters to vote by mail.
Unfortunately, that is not the case in many states around the country. Despite the crisis we’re in, Republicans have fought tooth and nail against Democrats’ efforts to make voting safer and more accessible. The GOP is doing everything it can to keep people away from the polls because they seem to believe that voter suppression is the only way they can win.
Donald Trump is particularly invested in derailing the vote by mail option for everyday citizens, despite voting by mail himself from the White House. We can’t let him do that.
