DC JWJ is hiring a campaign organizer to support the Keep DC Healthy campaign. The Keep DC Healthy campaign seeks to restore high quality health coverage to District residents previously or currently covered by the DC Healthcare Alliance, Medicaid, or DC’s Basic Health Plan. The organizer will be responsible for engaging Alliance, Medicaid, and Basic Health Plan patients; managing the campaign coalition and steering committee; and driving campaign strategy. This position is a member of the staff union who are represented by NPEU.

The ideal candidate will excel at developing and implementing strategic campaigns, building and maintaining relationships, and building consensus among diverse stakeholders with different priorities to enable effective work on a common goal. This person will be a team player, excited about the role of unions and coalitions in social change, and committed to justice in Washington, DC. Fluency in English and Spanish is required. This position is funded through a grant which ends in March 2027 and DC JWJ cannot guarantee employment after that time. See the full job description here.
